Venum Muay Thai team’s Youssef Boughanem fought for the Omnoi Stadium 160lbs Belt against Rungrawee Saenchaimuaythaigym in Thailand on 15th August, 2015.
Youssef made history as not only the first non-Thai fighting for this title, but the first to win it. Omnoi Stadium is one of the most prestigious in Muay Thai today, with multiple world names having claimed championships there enroute to international fame. One Saturday nights, the Best of Muay Thai airs live on Thailand’s TV Channel 3, a broadcast that gains arguably the most attention across the country for Muay Thai.
Youssef put on an amazing performance throughout two rounds of action, pushing himself forward to prove he was the more technical and tough fighter. In the third came his shining moment. Youssef got his opponent against the ropes and came in with a brutal and precise elbow that knocked out Rungrawee cold, dropped him straight to the canvas.
Venum is proud of Youssef’s amazing accomplishment, and proud to support him in his quest towards even greater goals.
