The unstoppable force of Jose Aldo, nicknamed Scarface is, unbeaten since 2005, Aldo has established himself as a formidable force within the MMA scene. As an infant Jose gained his infamous scar, his older sisters rolled him into a barbecue pit when their Mother was not looking.

Originally training Capoeira to be able to properly defend himself on the streets of Manaus. With aspirations of becoming a professional soccer player, fully supported by his family. Aldo’s natural Martial Arts ability was soon noticed. Finding a new love for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aldo moved to Rio de Janeiro with nothing but determination and the heart to develop as a fighter and succeed.

His only defeat, both professionally and in his career was to Luciano Azevdo at Jungle Fight 5 2005. This defeat left an unfamiliar and unpleasant taste in Aldo’s mouth, training harder than before, defeating an undeafted opponent Thiago “Minu” Meller in 2006.

He has the most amount of UFC Featherweight title defences, 14 knockouts and 2 submissions.

In recent UFC Official pound for pound rankings, Jose Aldo has been rated the #2 MMA fighter in the World, breathing down the neck of the Light Heavyweight Champion Jon ‘Bones’ Jones. Sherdog rank Aldo as #1 MMA Fighter.
